Getting Started

An organizational meeting for the Florida Ayurveda Association will be taking place at 7:00pm on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the Sai Ayurvedic College & Ayurvedic Wellness Center, 9000 SW 137th Avenue, Suite 220, Miami, Florida 33186.

The purpose of this meeting is to learn more about the structure and functions of a statewide organization of Ayurvedic practitioners, educators, students and interested others to promote the interests of Ayurveda and the wellness of the larger community in the state of Florida.

The FAA Vision

We envision this association as strictly voluntary, open to all, and designed to create a forum for interested parties to foster a sense of community in the area where they live, teach, study and practice; to communicate more effectively the needs of our Ayurvedic practitioners to state and local officials and legislators, particularly in terms of licensure and kindred issues; and to encourage our members to work together to increase their community’s and their own knowledge of and appreciation for Ayurveda and all that it has to offer.

The Florida Ayurveda Association is open to everyone who lives, teaches or practices in Florida. Any and all members will be eligible to participate fully and have a voice in addressing issues that directly affect them.

You’re Invited

We hope you will come to meet your friends and colleagues and to learn how, by working together, we can ensure that Ayurveda’s timeless teachings can more effectively be utilized to promote health, happiness and harmony.  Please mark September 18th on your calendar and plan to attend.  It you’re unable to attend in person, we are planning a conference call so that every one who wants to can participate. More information on the call will follow.
